When Kenny Chism made the right turn from West Sidnor to Davis Bend Road, he knew the truck had gone onto the shoulder, but he did not know part of a culvert was covered with overgrown grass. He found that out when the back left wheels fell into the hole, bringing the truck to a halt. It took two large heavy-duty wreckers from Long’s Auto Repair & Wrecker Service, Inc. in the Manvel area to pull the truck out. One was used to hold the truck from rolling over as the other one pulled it from the hole.
